DEA National Take Back:
On Saturday, October 26, 2019, 575 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs were turned in for disposal in Kankakee County during the day’s Take Back Day festivities. KAMEG Director Chris Koerner reported that the event was an overwhelming success.
The Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (KAMEG), the Bourbonnais Police Department, the Bradley Police Department, the Manteno Police Department, the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department, Momence Police Department, Aroma Park Police Department, and the Kankakee Police Department partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at the Northfield Square Mall.
KAMEG was also assisted by the Pledge for life Partnership of Kankakee County and Riverside Healthcare.
