The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of unused or expired prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
KAMEG Director Chris Koerner stated, “The program is a success in our area due to continued public support. During the past two collections, officers have collected over 1,500 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs.” (Read more about October’s Take Back Day here)
