This year’s billboard contest winner was Kelly O’Connor from Limestone Middle School.
The contest is held annually for 5th and 6th graders to encourage students to choose “Wise Highs… Choices You Can Live With.” Watch for the winning billboards which will appear in various locations throughout Kankakee and Iroquois counties in September.
The Iroquois-Kankakee Regional Office of Education in collaboration with the Pledge for Life Partnership provides Life Education Center Programs which use two mobile units and classroom education.
Healthy lifestyle messages are brought to the community in a variety of ways through Teacher Best Practice, Billboard, and Radio Public Service Announcement contests.
